Our manifesto

Step4
Key Stat: 44% of teachers have inadequate teacher training in practical skills/courses*

The problem:

Facilities and teaching for vocational subjects in the UK lag behind global standards. If we want to be a world-leading economy with world-leading skills, we have to fix this.

The solution:

Lobby for more government funds to be poured into creating high-quality vocational education facilities and training vocational teachers. Demand that pay for FE teachers should be at the same level as for secondary school teachers and that school buildings should be redesigned to reflect the needs of vocational as well as academic students.

Absolutely essential. Your practical teachers or instructors need the same teaching skills as any other. They must be at the top of their own skill or trade, otherwise the output will be predictably poor. they msut be seen and treated as profesional specialists
