Chris Winch joined the Edge Board of Trustees in October 2024. He is Professor of Educational Philosophy and Policy in the School of Education, Communication and Society at King’s College London. He has worked in primary, further and higher education and has a long standing interest in vocational and professional education. He studies the nature of professional know-how and comparative vocational education including European developments and has written books and articles on these subjects. He has participated in numerous projects concerned with young people and with vocational education. He has worked with the Edge Foundation for a number of years on the Principles of Vocational Education debate series and on the ESRC funded ‘Young Lives, Young Futures’ project in which the Edge Foundation and King’s collaborate.
