His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent led a distinguished military career spanning 20 years, alongside carrying out royal engagements representing his cousin, Her Majesty the Queen. In particular he has undertaken many international trips representing Britain in matters of overseas trade and investment. He is involved with a wide range of over 140 charities, organisations and professional bodies including the Scout Movement, the Stroke Association, the RNLI, the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and he is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
