The construction sector is crucial for the drive towards net zero, a greener economy, and a greener future. Therefore understanding the skills required, demanded, supplied and deployed for a greener economy is essential.
Join us to hear the findings from research conducted by SKOPE and The Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford and the Edge Foundation focusing on the issues facing the construction industry as we attempt to reach net zero. The research provides insight into the education and training structures required for developing the green jobs and skills needed in the construction sector. We will be presenting findings collected from key stakeholders who have insights into skills within the construction sector, the education and training systems and from key policy makers.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss these findings with our guest discussants. The session aims to better understand how we can move forward to achieve a greener construction sector.
