Learning from the Past – Looking Back to Move Forward

To make good policy, improve on previous approaches and avoid repeating the same mistakes, we must learn lessons from the past. This theme of understanding and using ‘policy memory’ is relevant to all policy areas across government – in this session we used education policy as the lens through which to examine it. We heard from leading researchers and former Education Permanent Secretary, Jonathan Slater.
