Edge announce Elaine Lilley MBE as new Chair of the Board of Trustees
Edge Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Al Barker as Communications Manager. Al’s appointment to this new role reflects the growing importance of communications as a whole to Edge, as well as the growing workload. He is assisting Director of Communications, Susan Higgins with the day-to-day running of the organisation’s website, email news and marketing, press and media, social media and PR, as well as inputting on strategy and practice.
Al has extensive comms experience as a busy freelance with the Council of Deans of Health, Royal College of Art School of Architecture, Mind, South East London Chamber of Commerce and Global Recycling Day among others, as well as a busy few years in the tourism sector running comms for the Royal Borough of Greenwich Destination Management Company. He started his career as a professional musician in the music business and theatre before deciding to give up pop and get a degree in Journalism and Contemporary History. He is thrilled to be working with the excellent and talented team at Edge and we’re very pleased to have him. Please get in touch with any Comms queries! abarker@edge.co.uk
