Three inspiring students have made it through to the final stage of the Association of Colleges’ Young Student of the Year awards. The annual awards celebrate students who stand out from the crowd, have gone above and beyond, whether in college or their local community.
Kizzy Wade from Selby College, Evar Jawhar from Barnsley College and Bhavandeep Bains from Derby College are finalists in the Young Student of the Year category of the national awards.
Alice Barnard, Chief Executive Officer, Edge Foundation said:
“Congratulations to this year’s finalists! Edge are proud to support this important award that both highlights and celebrates the exceptional achievements of students.”
Sally Dicketts, President of the Association of Colleges, said:
“The Student of the Year Awards rightly shine a light on individuals who have made a significant impact in their college and/or community. The finalists for the young student award have all made outstanding contributions and should be extremely proud of their achievements.”
The AoC Student of the Year finalists were announced at the AoC Annual Conference on Tuesday 16 November. Winners will be announced in early 2022.
