Holly leads on Edge’s education and skills policy work and political engagement. She joined Edge from Public First - a public opinion consultancy based in Westminster - where she worked in the education practice to support clients tackle major public policy challenges through the lens of public opinion research. Previously, Holly worked as an advisor on The Times Education Commission - a year-long review of education and assessment in the UK. She also spent a number of years in Parliament as Chief of Staff to the then Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee, advising on various Committee inquiries, scrutinising DfE policy and funding decisions, whilst managing the backbencher’s campaigns and media profile.
As Senior Policy Advisor at Edge, Sorah works with policymakers across the education sector to promote Edge’s vision for reform. She leads our Policy Network, as well as our policy work across the Four Nations. Prior to joining Edge, Sorah was an MP’s parliamentary assistant. She graduated King’s College London in 2021 with a degree in History and International Relations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, yoga, and experimenting (sometimes successfully) with baking.
