At The Economist Educational Foundation we empower disadvantaged children with the knowledge and skills they need for these times of complex social and environmental challenges, misinformation and polarisation. Our innovative programme Topical Talk facilitates inspiring high-quality discussions about the news that teach students to think critically, communicate effectively and understand the world.
We do this in three ways:
1. World-class weekly free online teaching resources for in-depth classroom discussions about current news stories
2. Annual Topical Talk Festival which is the world’s biggest news festival for young people
3. Teacher training that supports teachers to implement our programme with confidence and exceptional quality
