Across the core components of the Learner Profile, we anticipate that learning and achievement will be ‘validated’ in a variety of different ways.
Different ways of accrediting learning could include:
- School/college is assured (eg Pearson Assured) and issues awards
- School/college uses template from awarding body (eg ASDAN)
- Macro approach (eg International Baccalaureate; Global Citizen Diploma)
- School/college uses project qualifications as a wrapper for its course (eg EPQ, HPQ)
- External Level 2 or 3 award adopted by school (eg DayDream Believers)
- Short course offered by a university (eg NE University London; UAL)
- School/college chooses external award, not at a level, but with UCAS tariff points
- School/college issues badge from external provider (eg endorsed by employers)
- School/college develops own course which is not accredited but on UCAS (eg Bedales)
