The UK has seen a significant decline in participation in adult education and training. The decline in training participation has occurred alongside a fall in both public and private investment in training. This report and analysis present a detailed insight into the effectiveness of the various UK Government interventions to boost skills and productivity, and it calls for changes e.g. the apprenticeship levy funds application.
